February 10, 2028 Celebrate with a night out at the Foundation's 2018 Valentine's Gala, February 10. Cocktails at 5:30 pm.Dinner at 6:30 pm. Additional entertainment (speakers and live auction) at 7:30 pm. Music by the Counterfitz and dancing to follow.

Oil & Flames Ignite on Ice in LLB

September 23, 2017 BOOM! It was oil and flames on Lac La Biche ice. NHL Alumni from the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames ignited an explosion of entertainment on September 23, 2017. And what a game it was! Final score was 8-4 for the Oilers, but it was the community that won! All proceeds will support healthcare in the Lac La Biche region under the direction of the Lac La Biche Regional Health Foundation. BOOM! Everybody wins!

Family Donates CT Scanner

June 26, 2017 A prominent local family who wishes to remain anonymous will fund purchase of a CT Scanner for the Lac La Biche region, the Lac La Biche Regional Health Foundation announced Monday. “This donation is an amazing gift – not just for the region, but also for our healthcare system as a whole,” says foundation president Zicki Eludin.

1st Annual Valentine’s Gala

February 11, 2017 With grateful hearts, the Lac La Biche Regional Health Foundation is pleased to announce our first annual Valentine's Gala grossed $161,994 and netted $130,767 after expenses (give or take a couple small bills and donations to come). A huge thank you goes to all who attended or otherwise supported this event. You are making a difference for healthcare in Lac La Biche County. We have also announced our calendar lottery. First prize is a lot donated by the Eludin family at beautiful Elinor Lake Resort to be drawn at the second annual Valentine's Gala on Feb 10, 2018. Although we have not yet received final approval from the lottery board, we are already getting orders.

Oilers Alumni Brace For Toughest Challenge Yet

September 28, 2016 In an effort to increase their odds of winning the hockey game against the local Leghorn Foghorns, the Oilers Alumni have announced their lineup for the October 1st showdown in Lac La Biche. This list includes: # 1 Joaquin Gage # 5 Doug Hicks# 20 Dave Lumley # 21 Bruce Hardy# 25 Craig Topolinisky # 27 Dave Semenko# 28 Matt Kassian # 43 Jason Strudwick# 44 Rob Brown# 45 Mark Fistric To date, the Edmonton Oilers Alumni have never won a single game against the world renown Leghorn Foghorn Oldtimers. Nevertheless, they are bravely hoping to break the unbreakable and achieve the unachievable. Hockey commentators say this is going to be the don't-miss game of the season, billed as edge-of-your-seat Hockey Night in Lac La Biche! Scandal and intrigue have erupted as the Oilers Alumni recruited a number of local players in an effort to win Saturday's showdown (and got them to pay for this opportunity).
